KEEP IT SIMPLE
Shapes an even slab without sticking.
Adds color after drying.
STEP BY STEP
On wax paper, roll a clay ball into a slab about 1/2 inch thick.
Cut a small circle or other simple shape. Reuse the offcuts rather than making the dish thinner.
Lift the edge gently to form a shallow rim. Smooth rough spots with a barely damp finger.
Leave in an airy place until fully dry, generally at least 72 hours. Thickness and humidity may extend this.
Brush on thin paint layers, letting each dry according to the paint label. Use only when dry.
