Coffee quantities estimate 15 g of grounds per cup; your brewing method may use more or less.
12 oz bag · 340 g
Medium-roast ground coffee, with no grinder needed. Your usual coffee or decaf works too.
16 fl oz bottle · 473 ml
The C8 oil in the original recipe. One bottle covers 30 cups even at 1 tablespoon per cup.
16 oz jar · 454 g
Unsalted clarified butter. One jar covers 30 hot cups; no separate storage jar needed. Made from milk.
A blender rated for hot liquids works. For one mug, a small handheld frother takes less space.
Compact, battery-powered whisk for a single mug. Use a tall mug and keep the whisk submerged to limit splashes. Two AA batteries are included.
MAKE ONE CUP
Make 8 fl oz (about 240 ml) using your usual method. Regular or decaf both work.
Add the amounts shown above. Blend for 20–30 seconds in a blender rated for hot liquids, or use a frother in a tall mug. Never blend hot coffee in a sealed blender cup.
Enjoy while warm. Stir again if the oil separates.
SKIP THE SEPARATE FATS
14.8 oz tub · 30 label servings
Butter and MCT oil in one powder. Add one label serving to brewed coffee and stir or froth. Coffee is not included.
Contains milk. This is the original, unflavored creamer; it has different proportions from the DIY recipe.
Bulletproof’s hot recipe uses brewed coffee, 1 tablespoon of C8 MCT oil, and 1 tablespoon of ghee. We default to its suggested starting amount of 1 teaspoon MCT oil. The iced recipe uses less ghee. Vanilla, mocha, and the dairy-free MCT-only version are our simple adaptations, not replicas of commercial flavors.
The Original creamer label lists 30 servings, grass-fed butter, C8/C10 MCT oil, and acacia gum. It contains milk.
This is a coffee recipe, not a weight-loss treatment or a balanced meal replacement. MCT oil can cause digestive upset. If you’ve been advised to limit caffeine or saturated fat, check whether this fits your needs.
