KEEP IT SIMPLE

Tools & supplies

STEP BY STEP

Make it

  1. Spread

Cover each untoasted slice with a thin, even layer of butter, reaching the edges.

  2. Prepare sprinkles

Pour sprinkles onto a shallow plate.

  3. Coat

Gently press each buttered face into the sprinkles. Redistribute sprinkles between slices.

  4. Cut

Turn sprinkle-side up and cut diagonally into two triangles. Serve while bread is soft.

Good to know

  • Round nonpareils give the traditional crunchy texture.
  • Make shortly before serving so the bread stays fresh.
